It means a combination of the main character Rorang and Korea.
As a representative artist in Korea, I will also take the lead in entering overseas markets.

먼저 제 소개를 하자면 저는 2023년에 한국에서 서울일러스트레이션페어로 작가 데뷔를 하였고,
현재 일러스트레이터 작가로 활동하고 있는 로랑입니다.
(Rorang은 작가명이고 , 동시에 저의 회사 이름입니다)
Firstly, let me introduce myself. I am Rorang, a South Korean illustrator.
In 2023, I made my debut as an artist at the Seoul Illustration Fair in Korea,
and I am currently active as an illustrator.
My artistic pseudonym is RORANG, and my company name is Rorang.
저는 영어와 국제법을 전공했습니다.
그래서 저의 캐릭터들에게 국제화 시대에 걸맞도록 각 나라의 특징을 반영하고 싶었습니다.
전세계에 있는 많은 나라들과 사랑스러운 캐릭터로써 교감하고 싶었고 일러스트계의 외교관이 되고 싶었달까요
I majored in English and International Law,
which has inspired me to incorporate the distinct features of various countries into my characters,
aligning them with the globalized era.
I aimed to create endearing characters that could bridge connections between people from around the world,
essentially becoming a diplomatic envoy through my illustrations.
그리하여 탄생한 저의 글로벌 프로젝트의 첫 번째 캐릭터가 [파리에 사는 화가고양이 로랑] 입니다.
계속해서 새로운 나라의 친구들을 추가적으로 만나보실 수 있을 거예요.
전세계 모든 나라를 캐릭터화 하는 그날까지 멈추지 않고 그림을 그릴 생각입니다
As a result, my global project was born,
starting with the character "Rorang, the Cat Painter who lives in Paris."
I intend to continue this endeavor by introducing new characters from different countries.

I aim to use the United States as a hub to broaden my scope of artistic activities globally.
Not only do I plan to work as an illustrator but also engage in art business ventures in the United States.
I intend to simultaneously pursue
copyright registration and trademark applications, collaborate with major corporations on
licensing agreements, and venture into publishing children"s books.

Every night before I fall asleep,
I imagine the day when my character logo will be visible anywhere in the world.

작가의 말
Who IS RORANG?
로랑이의 실제 모델은 제가 키우고 있는 눈이 아주 크고 반짝이는 페르시안 친칠라 고양이입니다.
2017년 봄, 2개월짜리 애기고양이가 우리집으로 온 이후로 새로운 세상이 펼쳐졌어요.
귀여운 로랑이를 내 손으로 직접 잘 그려주고 싶고,
기초실력을 키우기 위해 화실에 본격적으로 열심히 다니기 시작했거든요!
그전에도 화실을 다니긴 했지만,
사랑하는 대상을 집중해서 그리는 그림의 즐거움을 또 알게 된 거죠.
그렇게 시간 가는 줄 모르고 그림에 푹 빠져서는 엄청난 모작연습&다작을 했답니다.
그런 폭풍 같은 시간을 보내고 드디어 나만의 창작도 하게 되었답니다.
집중과 열정의 시간들 후훗..
로랑이는 나의 숨겨진 그림 재능을 끌어내준 소중한 존재랍니다.
작가명이 로랑인 것도 이런 이유에서죠.
게다가 첫 번째 캐릭터인 화가 고양이 로랑이는
또 하나의 나 자신, 분신이자 부캐라고 할 수 있는 캐릭터예요.
저의 모든 취향과 가치관을 반영하여 창작했답니다 :)

Who IS RORANG?
The real model for Rorang is my companion animal,
a Persian Chinchilla cat with big and sparkling eyes.
In the spring of 2017,
a two-month-old kitten named Rorang came to our house,
and it opened up a whole new world for me.
I started going to the art studio because I wanted to draw adorable Rorang with my own hands.
I discovered the joy of painting and became deeply immersed in it,
spending countless hours practicing and creating numerous artworks.
Rorang is a precious being who brought out my hidden talent for drawing.
That's why I chose the name Rorang as my pen name.
Moreover, the first character, the painter cat Rorang, can be me, my alter ego, and my secondary character.
I created it by incorporating all my tastes, personalities, and values into my character.
I hope you will love Rorang just as much as I hold him dear.

화가 고양이 로랑이는 그림 공부를 하기위해 파리에 거주중이다
패션과 낭만을 너무 사랑하고 유머감각 넘치는 유쾌한 성격의 소유자이다.
로제 와인을 좋아하며,
주말엔 컨버터블 오픈카를 타고 바다에 가서 오후의 여유를 만끽한다.
체리에게 장난치는걸 좋아하고
늘 더 재밌고 새로운 장난 아이디어가 없을지 생각하며 시간을 보낸다.

Rorang, the painter cat, currently resides in Paris to study art.
He possesses a sense of fashion and romance, along with a great sense of humor. He enjoys Rosé wine and loves to ride a convertible car on weekends, indulging in the leisure of afternoons by the seaside.
Rorang likes to play pranks on Cherry and constantly seeks new and exciting prank ideas. He has an exceptional sense of style, often opting for vintage accessories and vibrant-colored clothes. Taking selfies is his hobby.
His MBTI personality type is ENFP, a friend-loving type, and his zodiac sign is Libra. He likes to listen to jazz, R&B, and soul music.

셜록홈즈처럼 멋진 탐정이 되고싶어서 법대를 다닌다.
하얀색 윤기나는 털과 접힌 귀, 파란눈과 핑크코, 삼각형 입모양이 특징이다.
인형처럼 예쁜 체리는 목에 있는 체리 목걸이가 트레이드 마크이다.
체리는 추리소설을 좋아해서 늘 자기전에 책을 읽는다.
심지어 해리포터 덕후라서 집안에 해리포터 굿즈와 마법서들이 넘친다.
영화는 타이타닉, 해리포터, 초자연 미스터리물을 좋아한다

She is characterized by her sleek white fur, folded ears, blue eyes, and a pink nose. Cherry's distinctive feature is her cherry-shaped pendant necklace that she always wears around her neck, which serves as her trademark.
Cherry is an avid reader of detective novels and often spends her evenings immersed in books. She is also a Harry Potter enthusiast, so her home is filled with Harry Potter merchandise and magical books.
When it comes to movies, Cherry enjoys watching Titanic, Harry Potter,
and supernatural mysteries.
Her taste in music ranges from Japanese lounge music to trendy Euro EDM.
She is skilled at playing the violin and even goes busking with it on weekends.

As a healthy and energetic lion, Dao is filled with the energy of the sun, radiating positive vibes and having a positive influence on people. He is a handsome idol with a warm and sunny personality.
